Kew is the world’s leading botanic gardens, at the forefront of plant and fungal science, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a major visitor attraction.

We want a world where plants and fungi are understood, valued and conserved – because our lives depend on them.

We use the power of our science and the rich diversity of our gardens and collections to provide knowledge, inspiration and understanding of why plants and fungi matter to everyone.

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic plant scientist to work in collaboration with our partners in Mozambique to promote and deliver science-based plant conservation through the identification of Tropical Important Plant Areas, a key component of Kew’s Science Strategy 2015-2020.

The Project Officer for Mozambique TIPAs will work within the Africa & Madagascar team of Kew’s Identification & Naming Department, but will also collaborate with a range of colleagues across Kew’s Science Directorate and with project partners in Mozambique.
